Cycle tours

In the district around Nora the country and gravel roads wind onwards through the forest, open landscape, alongside glittering lakes and past places of cultural history. Take the opportunity to get closer to Nora and discover the district on two wheels.

Lake Nora loop and Järle tour

Length: 22 km alt. 27 km. Start Nora Station.
The tour has slight inclines and is best suited to cycling clockwise. You encounter forest, lakes and open landscape, mostly on asphalt. During the tour you can see both town and lake, and on the eastern side you come across a hard to beat view over Nora. If you have the energy, make a 5 km detour round Järle. Järleån Nature Reserve is a great place for a little rest, and Järle town with Svalbo Café is a perfect place for a coffee break.

Mine loop

Length: 27 km. Start: Nora Station.
Experience Bergslag countryside where you are reminded of the district’s history of mining. The cycle tour is hilly and runs on asphalt roads. Make a stop at the Mine Park in KLacka-Lerberg and enjoy the view over Fåsjön lake. Book a lunch and have a meal-break at Åkerby Herrgård Manor.

Two-lake Loop

Length: 50 km. Start: Nora Station.
Take yourself around the beautiful lakes of Fåsjön and Usken immediately north of Nora. Easy and occasionally hilly roads on both gravel and asphalt. The countryside is magnificent and in summer there are great places to bathe. Lovely break spots are Vreten, Uskavi and Nora-Annas.

Ride your bike from Örebro to Nora

Length: 35 km alt. 45 km. Start: Örebro town
From thebig city and pulse through forests and open landscapes to the small wooden town in Bergslagen. Choose the hilly ride on gravel over Kilsbergen and the mining village of Pershyttan or roll along winding asphalt roads via Mogetorp and the charming railway station in Järle.
